President Obama appeared in a taped clip during Sunday's Academy Awards show on ABC, letting the world know that his favorite movie song was "As Time Goes By."
The song by Dooley Wilson was featured in the classic "Casablanca."
CNN's Bonney Kapp reports that the song also ranked No. 2 on the American Film Institute's list of top film tunes.

Obama, speaking at the 2011 Governors' Dinner in the state dining room of the White House on Sunday, was clearly in an Oscar state of mind.
"I want to welcome some of you back, and I want to welcome those who are here for the first time. I know some of you may be confused and think this is the Oscars," he said, drawing laughs, according to the press pool report. "There are some similarities. First of all, everybody looks spectacular. And the second thing is, if I speak too long the music will start playing. So I'm going to be very brief."

My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero ambition losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would have made Bernie Madoff proud. 4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and your ilk pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age 67. NOW, you and your shill commission is proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN. 5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now you morons propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because you idiots mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal money from Medicare to pay the bills. 6. ALABAMA PIONEERS
Hi Gaylon,
I love this spring weather we've been having in Alabama but I'm becoming spoiled! I noticed little buds are starting to appear on many spring flowing plants, especially the azaleas. I hope we don't have another bout of snow or cold weather to ruin their blooms. I planted some Pride of Mobile roses many years ago and they are really beautiful when they are in full bloom but there have been many years when their blooms were ruined by a late freeze. I fell in love with the Pride of Mobile roses after visiting Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile.

Bellingrath Gardens and Home was the creation of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bellingrath. The Gardens first opened to the public in 1932 while a national garden club meeting was taking place in Mobile. Mr. Bellingrath placed an ad in the Mobile paper, announcing that anyone who would like to see the spring garden could do so free of charge. After an overwhelming response, the couple decided to keep the gardens open year-round, beginning in 1934. Mr Bellingrath owned a coca cola franchise in Alabama. This is a good time to visit with this spring weather and remember Mardi Gras started in Mobile . Be sure to tell them I sent you.

OBAMA BREAKS CONSTITUION LAW!
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV Friday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said President Barack Obama’s decision not to fully enforce the Defense of Marriage law eventually could lead to a constitutional crisis, as he has directly violated his constitutional duties by arbitrarily suspending a law.
Gingrich even suggested that, if a “President Sarah Palin” had taken a similar action, there would have been immediate calls for her impeachment. Asked directly whether President Obama could be subject to articles of impeachment, Gingrich said, “I think that’s something you get to much later. But I think clearly it is a dereliction of duty. Clearly it’s a violation of his constitutional oath. Clearly it is not something that can be allowed to stand."
(A Gingrich spokesman stressed after the interview that we are not currently in a constitutional crisis, nor was Gingrich calling for the direct impeachment of the president. His statements were meant to illustrate the hypocrisy of the left and the mainstream media.)
Obama Attorney General Eric Holder said on Wednesday that the administration will not defend the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act in the courts, which has banned recognition of same-sex marriage for 15 years. President Clinton signed the act into law in 1996.
Obama’s decision to forego a legal defense of the law has caused a firestorm of anger from conservative groups.
Gingrich slammed Obama for his decision, telling Newsmax that he is not a “one-person Supreme Court” and his decision sets a “very dangerous precedent” that must not be allowed to stand.

Imagine that Governor Palin had become president. Imagine that she had announced that Roe versus Wade in her view was unconstitutional and therefore the United States government would no longer protect anyone’s right to have an abortion because she personally had decided it should be changed. The news media would have gone crazy. The New York Times would have demanded her impeachment.
“First of all, he campaigned in favor of [the law]. He is breaking his word to the American people,” Gingrich says.
“Second, he swore an oath on the Bible to become president that he would uphold the Constitution and enforce the laws of the United States. He is not a one-person Supreme Court. The idea that we now have the rule of Obama instead of the rule of law should frighten everybody.
“The fact that the left likes the policy is allowing them to ignore the fact that this is a very unconstitutional act,” Gingrich said.
Gingrich said it is absolutely critical for Obama to comply with Congress and the constitutional process.
“I believe the House Republicans next week should pass a resolution instructing the president to enforce the law and to obey his own constitutional oath, and they should say if he fails to do so that they will zero out [defund] the office of attorney general and take other steps as necessary until the president agrees to do his job.
“His job is to enforce the rule of law and for us to start replacing the rule of law with the rule of Obama is a very dangerous precedent."
Gingrich adds: “I don’t think these guys set out to create a constitutional crisis. I think they set out to pay off their allies in the gay community and to do something that they thought was clever. I think they didn’t understand the implication that having a president personally suspend a law is clearly unconstitutional.”

PATRIOT OR TRAITOR
Are you a Patriot or are you a Traitor. Now think very hard some of the questions may not be what they seem. Our present country or may I say the admistration of our goverment does not abide by the Constitution. Here is where you need to think. Presently we have an administration that will not step up to the plate and accept their shortcomings. They instead are still trying to blame the adminstrations all the way back through Ronald Reagan for what is happening at present. Also remember poor Sarah Palin has caught uncalled for hate worse from this so called man of change followers. Now for the questions I will ask. At the end you figure up for yourself whether you are a Patriot or a Traitor.
1. You salute the flag of the United States of America upon it's raising or lowering. When the National Anthem is played or do you grab your crotch?
2. You believe in the Constitution as written by our forefathers? You desire it be changed if so, WHY?
3. You gain the Oval Office an immdediately bail out banks, auto mfgs in the false pretense of saving jobs. instead of letting them go bellyup like many of our taxpayers are. You increase the National Debt far higher than any and all the Presidents preceeding you. This debt is unreachable in it's present form. Did he do this on purpose? He now is in the process of cutting militarty spending even though our military needs it more now than any time before. What is his goal here? Does he desire the U.S. go bankrubt and not be able to defend itself? Why not do the simple thing to end questions of his birth once and for all by presenting his birth certificate. The Supreme Court itself ought to give him an order to do so or have him step down immediately. Agree or disagree?
4. He intends to cut educationl spending at a time when we need it worse than ever? Do we need this?
5. He intends to go on giving free education to Illegals along with free school food, welfare checks medical aid and will not close the Borders. AGAIN WHY? Proven that over 51,000 illegals other than Mexican Nationals came across the Border just this year. Why are they here?
6. Emirgrtation is emirgration. Crossing ones Border illegally is plainly a criminal offense. Anyone being arrested for this? I CAN ANSWER, HELL NO? Obama Wishes to give them amnesty so they can vote.
7. Upon meeting with the Queen of our strongest allie. Did he bow like protocol dictates and kiss her hand. HELL NO. He stood there like the dunce he is. But yet, when he landed in a middle eastern country I will not mention he grabbed that leader's hand and bowed to kiss it as Muslims do.
I can continue this on an on with such things as attending a church for twenty years with a pastor who yelled, "GOD DAMN AMERICA AND WHITEY". You answer the questions then you determine if your Patrotic or you're not. Be honest and answer correctly. If your educated you know what it takes to be a patriot. If not then get the hell out of this country.
