Politico: Two Women Accused Cain of 'Inappropriate Behavior,' Received Cash Payments

Presidential candidate and former pizza chain magnate Herman Cain was the subject of complaints of "inappropriate behavior" of a sexual nature by two women who worked for him at the National Restaurant Association during the 1990s, Politico reported in an exclusive Sunday night.

The complaints, which were resolved privately with cash payments in the “five figures” to both women, occurred while Cain was head of the association from 1996 to 1999, according to Politico.

Specifically, Politico, citing anonymous sources, reported that:

• The women complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Cain that made them angry and uncomfortable.
• Incidents included conversations allegedly filled with innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature and “physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regarded as improper in a professional relationship.”
• The two women signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them financial payouts to leave the association. Both women received separation packages that were in the five-figure range.
• Cain, who has been married for 43 years, told at least one campaign staffer this year about the possibility that claims of sexual harassment could surface. He described it as a case in which he fired an employee in 1990s and the woman alleged sexual misconduct or harassment.
• Cain said he was “vaguely familiar” with the charges, according to his spokesman J.D. Gordon. But his campaign repeatedly declined to respond directly to Politico about whether he ever faced allegations of sexual harassment at the restaurant association.
• The chair, vice chair and immediate past chairman of the National Restaurant Association board of directors at the time of Cain’s employment there each told Politico they hadn’t heard of any complaints.

Politico reported that its reporter confronted Cain Sunday on the street in Washington D.C. just after he completed an interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” That came after two weeks of trying to get a comment from his campaign.

On Oct. 20, Politico first approached Gordon about whether Cain had been the subject of complaints of sexual harassment.

Gordon didn’t respond for several days but emailed Politico on Oct. 24 that any dispute about Cain’s conduct at the restaurant association “was settled amicably among all parties many years ago.”

“These are old and tired allegations that never stood up to the facts,” Gordon said in an email response to Politico. “This was settled amicably among all parties many years ago, and dredging this up now is merely part of a smear campaign meant to discredit a true patriot who is shaking up the political status quo.”

Gordon added: “Since critics haven’t had much luck in attacking Mr. Cain’s ideas, they are trying to attack him personally.”

On Sunday, Cain told Politico he had “had thousands of people working for me” at different businesses over the years and could not comment “until I see some facts or some concrete evidence.”

“He was then asked, ‘Have you ever been accused, sir, in your life of harassment by a woman?’ the Politico story reported. “He breathed audibly, glared at the reporter and stayed silent for several seconds. After the question was repeated three times, he responded by asking the reporter, ‘Have you ever been accused of sexual harassment?’"

Cain was head of the restaurant trade group after he left the job as CEO of Godfather’s Pizza. He frequently describes his running the pizza company but speaks less often about his tenure atop the association.

The association represented about 150,000 food service establishments, had roughly 115 employees and a government affairs budget of nearly $20 million. But it was not known as a top lobbying powerhouse, Politico reported.

Cain was brought in to make it a more of a full-scale lobbying organization. He hired more lobbyists and took a much more public role in advocating for the industry than did his predecessor. Boasting of the shift in his book, Cain noted that during his tenure, the restaurant association made its first appearance on Fortune magazine’s list of Washington’s 25 most influential interest groups.

Obama: The Affirmative Action President

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack
Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, a baffling breed of
mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How,
they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment
beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest
economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the
world's most consequential job?

Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life:
ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades
and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community
organizer"; a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative
achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did
he vote "present") ; and finally an unaccomplished single term in the
United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his
presidential ambitions. He left no academic legacy in academia,
authored no signature legislation as a legislator.

And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the
white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as
Obama's "spiritual mentor"; a real-life, actual terrorist who served
as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a
future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a
man elected president?

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz
addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal:

To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an
outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant
terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because
Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberaldom
to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices,
even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass.

Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass -- held to a lower standard
-- because of the color of his skin. Podhoretz continues:

And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also
so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said)
"non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become
the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to
rest?

Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the
Obama phenomenon -- affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of
course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all
affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily
to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about
themselves.

Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat
themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools
for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the
inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow.
Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't
around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self esteem
resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes,
racist.

Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of
his skin -- that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't
racism, then nothing is. And that is what America did to Obama.

True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements,
but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good
enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he
was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre
record in Illinois; he was told he was good enough to be president
despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of
the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite
of ample evidence to the contrary. What could this breed if not the
sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks?

In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications
nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool
character. Those people -- conservatives included -- ought now to be
deeply embarrassed. The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of
cliché's, and that's when he has his teleprompter in front of him;
when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not
one original idea has ever issued from his mouth -- it's all
warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again
for 100 years.

And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and
everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I
inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing
to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own
incompetence. But really, what were we to expect? The man has never
been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act
responsibly?

In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with neither
the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you
understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current
erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone
otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his
12-gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee-crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds
to his abdomen and genitals.
When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death
before medical help could arrive.
It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45-caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David 0'Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest.

Rick Perry's flat Tax Plan Praised by Conservatives!

Texas Gov. Rick Perry was widely praised by conservatives on Tuesday as he issued his flat tax plan which he hopes will revive his struggling campaign for the White House.

The plan, which reduces corporate and income taxes to 20 percent, would “immediately add trillions of dollars in new wealth to the economy,” Club for Growth president Chris Chocola said, while of Americans for Tax Reform leader Grover Norquist called it “a great step forward.”

Perry outlined his proposal, which he calls Cut, Balance and Grow, in a Wall Street Journal op-ed and later announced it at a news conference in Columbia, S.C.The plan is in direct contrast to those of his chief Republican rivals for the presidential nomination. It differs from businessman Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 by not including a national sales tax and from former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s 59-point plan which calls for tax reductions but no flat tax.

The plan would allow taxpayers to pay at the current rates or to adopt the flat tax plan. During his speech Perry waved a postcard saying that would be the size of the average American’s tax return as he compared it with a tax code of 72,000 pages. He claimed the plan’s very simplicity would save $483 billion in tax compliance costs.

“Each individual taxpayer will have a choice,” he said. “You can continue to pay your taxes, as well as the lawyers and accountants, or you can file on a postcard.”

Perry’s plan also eliminates the death tax and taxes on social security payments, while maintaining deductions for mortgage interest, charitable giving and state and local taxes for families earning less than $500,000. It increases standard deductions to $12,500. It also gets rid of the long-tern capital gains tax.

It would give corporations a one-off opportunity to repatriate earnings from abroad – which he estimated at $1.4 trillion – with a reduced tax rate of 5.25 percent. He called that, “The kind of economic stimulus that President Obama could have achieved if he wasn’t so hell-bent on passing big government schemes that have failed American worker.”

Perry said his plan would “shut down the cottage industry of corporate tax evasion,” and offer an incentive for companies to invest once more in America.

“The flat tax will unleash growth, but growth is not enough,” said Perry in his speech. “We must put a stop to this entitlement culture that risks the financial solvency of this country for future generations.”

He said every child born in America immediately owes the federal government $46,000.

In his Wall Street Journal article Perry said, “Fixing America's tax, spending and entitlement cultures will not be easy. But the status quo of byzantine taxes, loose spending and the perpetual delay of entitlement reform is a recipe for disaster.

“Cut, Balance and Grow strikes a major blow against the Washington-knows-best mindset. It takes money from spendthrift bureaucrats and returns it to families. It puts fewer job-killing regulations on employers and more restrictions on politicians. It gives more freedom to Americans to control their own destiny. And just as importantly, the Cut, Balance and Grow plan paves the way for the job creation, balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility we need to get America working again.”

Chocola immediately hailed the proposal. “A Flat Tax like the one proposed by Perry would unleash years of economic growth if it is passed into law,” he said.

“Perry clearly understands that revitalizing the economy should start with a complete overhaul of a tax code that has nearly choked economic growth to death. Conservatives looking for a champion to carry the banner of a pro-growth tax reform will surely rally behind this bold proposal.”

Norquist tweeted his reaction. “TX Governor Rick Perry’s flat tax alternative is great step forward. Doesn’t create a VAT or sales tax that could grow.”
In a second tweet, Norquist added, “Perry’s flat tax has the classic lines of a Steve Jobs’ product. Seamless. ….and Steve Forbes likes it. I’ll take two.”

Forbes – who ran for president on the GOP ticket in 1996 and 2000 with a flat tax as his main platform – is an adviser to Perry and helped draw up the plan. He called it a “win-win all around,” because of its simplicity.

Forbes said the time has come for a flat tax. “People want it, they hunger for it,” he told Fox News. “You saw the reaction to Herman Cain’s plan, even with the sales tax part of it. Rick Perry does not have a sales tax, which is going to make the plan even more appealing.”

“It’s going to be very exciting,” he added. “A very low rate, generous exemptions for adults and for children, make it worthwhile to invest in America again, drastically simplifying the tax code, lowering the corporate tax rate.”

Other Republican strategists were equally enthusiastic about Perry’s plan. “Team Perry is drawing that bright line distinction not only between himself and Romney, but between himself and Cain,” said Ford O’Connell, an adviser to the John McCain/Sarah Palin ticket in 2008.

“This is about winning the anti-Romney voting block and getting them to come together around one candidate.”

But the Obama administration immediately attacked Perry’s plan, saying in a campaign memo penned by policy director James Kvaal, “the most fortunate Americans would pay less while the middle class would pay a higher share.”

And Chuck Marr of the left-leaning Center on Budget and Policy Priorities predicted that as people examine the plan more closely they will find flaws. “Flat tax proposals tend to be popular on a first blush basis but fall apart once people realize what the effects are,” he said. “There’s a superficial appeal, but when it comes out that middle-class people tend to lose big, it loses its popularity.”

Libyan Leader Declares Nation Islamic, Sharia Law to be Implemented

Libya's transitional leader declared his country's liberation Sunday after an 8-month civil war and set out plans for the future with an Islamist tone. The announcement was clouded, however, by international pressure to explain how ousted dictator Moammar Gadhafi had been captured alive days earlier, then ended up dead from a gunshot to his head shortly afterward.

Gadhafi's death in circumstances that are still unclear, and the gruesome spectacle of his body laid out as a trophy in a commercial freezer and on public view, are testing the new Libyan leaders' commitment to the rule of law. Even at the ceremony to declare liberation, a couple speakers in positions of authority essentially said Gadhafi got what he deserved.
But transitional government leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, who made the keynote speech, did not mention the events surrounding Gadhafi's end and called on his people to eschew hatred.
"You should only embrace honesty, patience, and mercy," Abdul-Jalil told the crowd at the declaration ceremony in the eastern city of Benghazi, the birthplace of the uprising against Gadhafi. He urged Libyans to reconcile their differences.
And he laid out a vision for the post-Gadhafi future with an Islamist tint, saying Islamic Sharia law would be the "basic source" of legislation and existing laws that contradict the teachings of Islam would be nullified. In a gesture that showed his own piety, he urged Libyans not to express their joy by firing guns in the air, but rather to chant "Allahu Akbar," or God is Great. He then stepped aside from the podium and knelt to offer a brief prayer of thanks.
Using Sharia as the main source of legislation is stipulated in the constitution of neighboring Egypt. Still, Egyptian laws remain largely secular as Sharia does not cover all aspects of modern day life.
The uprising against Gadhafi erupted in February as part of anti-government revolts spreading across the Middle East. Neighboring Tunisia, which put the so-called Arab Spring in motion with mass protests nearly a year ago, has taken the biggest step on the path to democracy, voting for a new assembly Sunday in its first truly free elections. Egypt, which has struggled with continued unrest, is next with parliamentary elections slated for November.
Libya's struggle has been the bloodiest so far in the region. Mass protests quickly turned into a civil war that killed thousands and paralyzed the country for the past eight months. Gadhafi's hometown of Sirte was the last loyalist stronghold to fall last week, but Gadhafi's son and one-time heir apparent, Seif al-Islam, apparently escaped with some of his supporters.
Abdul-Jalil paid tribute to the Gulf Cooperation Council, a six-nation alliance led by Saudi Arabia, the Arab League and the European Union. NATO, which aided the anti-Gadhafi fighters with airstrikes, performed its task with "efficiency and professionalism," he added.
President Barack Obama congratulated Libyans on the declaration.
"After four decades of brutal dictatorship and eight months of deadly conflict, the Libyan people can now celebrate their freedom and the beginning of a new era of promise," he said.
But just hours before that statement, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Britain's new defense secretary, Philip Hammond, said a full investigation into Gadhafi's death is necessary.
Hammond said the Libyan revolutionaries' image had been "a little bit stained" by Gadhafi's death, Hammond adding that the new government "will want to get to the bottom of it in a way that rebuilds and cleanses that reputation."
"It's certainly not the way we do things," Hammond told BBC television. "We would have liked to see Col. Gadhafi going on trial to answer for his misdeeds."
Clinton told NBC's "Meet the Press" that she backs a proposal that the United Nations investigate Gadhafi's death and that Libya's National Transitional Council look into the circumstances, too.
An autopsy confirmed that Gadhafi died from a gunshot to the head, Libya's chief pathologist, Dr. Othman al-Zintani, said. However, the pathologist said he would not disclose further details or elaborate on Gadhafi's final moments, saying he would first deliver a full report to the attorney general.
Libya's acting prime minister, Mahmoud Jibril, said he would not oppose an investigation, but cited an official reporting saying a wounded Gadhafi was killed in crossfire// one word in 2002 following his capture. Addressing the celebrations around Gadhafi's body, Jibril told the BBC in an interview on Sunday: "You have to appreciate the agony that people went through for 42 years."
The 69-year-old Gadhafi was captured wounded, but alive Thursday in his hometown of Sirte, the last city to fall to revolutionary forces. Bloody images of Gadhafi being taunted and beaten by his captors have raised questions about whether he was killed in crossfire as suggested by government officials or deliberately executed.
Gadhafi's body has been on public display in a commercial freezer in a shopping center in the port city of Misrata, which suffered from a bloody siege by regime forces that instilled a virulent hatred for the dictator in Misrata's residents.
People have lined up for days to view the body, which was laid out on a mattress on the freezer floor. The bodies of Gadhafi's son Muatassim and his ex-defense minister Abu Bakr Younis also were put on display, and people wearing surgical masks have filed past, snapping photos of the bodies.
The New York-based group Human Rights Watch, which viewed the bodies, said video footage, photos and other information it obtained "indicate that they might have been executed after being detained."
"Finding out how they died matters," said Sarah Leah Whitson of Human Rights Watch. "It will set the tone for whether the new Libya will be ruled by law or by summary violence."
The Syrian-based Al-Rai TV station, which has served as a mouthpiece for the Gadhafi clan, said the dictator's wife, Safiya, also demanded an investigation.
"I am proud of the bravery of my husband, Moammar Gadhafi, the holy warrior, and my sons who confronted the aggression of 40 countries over the past six months," the station quoted the widow as saying in a statement.
The vast majority of Libyans seemed unconcerned about the circumstances of the hated leader's death, but rather was relieved the country's ruler of 42 years was gone, clearing the way for a new beginning.
"If he (Gadhafi) was taken to court, this would create more chaos, and would encourage his supporters," said Salah Zlitni, 31, who owns a pizza parlor in downtown Tripoli. "Now it's over."
The long-awaited declaration of liberation starts the clock on Libya's transition to democracy. The transitional leadership has said it would declare a new interim government within a month of liberation and elections for a constitutional assembly within eight months, to be followed by votes for a parliament and president within a year.
At the ceremony in Benghazi, Abdul-Jalil outlined several changes to align with Islamic law.
"This revolution was looked after by God to achieve victory," he said.
Abdul-Jalil said new banks would be set up to follow the Islamic banking system, which bans charging interest as a practice deemed usury. For the time being, he said interest would be canceled from any personal loans already taken out and less than 10,000 Libyan dinars (about $7,500).
He also announced the annulment of an existing family law that limits the number of wives Libyan can take, contradicting the provision in the Muslim holy book, the Quran, that allows men up to four wives.
And he urged Libyans to hand back money or property taken during the civil war.
Abdul-Jalil thanked those who fought and fell in the fight against Gadhafi's forces.
"They are somewhere better than here, with God," he said.

By Patrick J. Buchanan Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America .. Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation.. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.... This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these: First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.. Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American. Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks. We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?? Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona ? And Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids...? Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it really white America 's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent? Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself? As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time? Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse? We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing. Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago. This needs to be passed around because, this is a message everyone needs to hear!!! OK........... will you pass it on ? YES. I did but will you? Because I'm for a better America

The Lawyers' Party

This is very interesting!  Most have never thought about it this way. 

The Democratic Party has become the Lawyers' Party. 
Barack Obama is a lawyer.
Michelle Obama is a lawyer.
Hillary Clinton is a lawyer. 
Bill Clinton is a lawyer.
John Edwards is a lawyer. 
Elizabeth Edwards is a lawyer.

Etc, Etc.

Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate).  Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school.

Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress: 

Harry Reid is a lawyer. 
Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.   
 
The Republican Party is different.

President Bush was a businessman. 
Vice President Cheney was a businessman.
The leaders of the Republican Revolution:  Newt Gingrich was a history professor.  Tom Delay was an exterminator. Dick Armey was an economist.  House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastics manufacturer.   The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon.

Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer?  Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago.  Bear in mind that Ford was appointed, not elected.

The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.

The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers and bankrolled by lawyers.  Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like Frist, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich.

The Lawyers' Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America .  And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers' Party, grow.

Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail?  Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation (and creating jobs).

This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers.  Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people.  Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side.

Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine.  But it is an awful way to govern a great nation.  When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming.  Some Americans become "adverse parties" of our very government.  We are not all litigants in some vast social class-action suit.  We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives.

America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked.  When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big.  When lawyers use criminal prosecution as a continuation of politics by other means, as happened in the lynching of Scooter Libby and Tom Delay, then the power of lawyers in America is too great.  When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

We cannot expect the Lawyers' Party to provide real change, real reform or real hope in America    Most Americans know that a republic in which every major government action must be blessed by nine unelected judges is not what Washington intended in 1789.  Most Americans grasp that we cannot fight a war when ACLU lawsuits snap at the heels of our defenders.  Most Americans intuit that more lawyers and judges will not restore declining moral values or spark the spirit of enterprise in our economy.

Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business.  Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work.  Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

The United States has 5% of the world's population and 66% of the world's lawyers! Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as "spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you" and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits. This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party. When you see that 97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association goes to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

HERMAN CAIN: RUNAWAY SLAVE

 I keep having images of Herman Cain barefoot, covered in sweat and mud, wearing an old patchwork shirt and hand made burlap pants held up by a rope rather than a belt, out of breath and frantically running for his life; to freedom. Menacing sounds of barking dogs in the distance focused on Cain's scent. Not far behind, hot on Cain's trail, are black overseers determined to keep their fellow black slaves in check for their white liberal democrat massas.
Cain's crime? He achieved success via traditional routes; education, hard work and character. Cain did not use or need Affirmative Action or lowered standards; a clear violation of the left's law for acceptable minority success.
White massas Lawrence O'Donnell, Janeane Garofalo and the Democratic Party leadership have instructed their black “slave control” enforcers/overseers to “Stop Cain! NOBODY, escapes the Liberal Democrat Slave Plantation! NOBODY!!!”
So a posse of black overseers consisting of Harry Belafonte, Tavis Smiley, Morgan Freeman, Al Sharpton and other blacks who are loyal to their white liberal democrat massas are on a mission to destroy runaway slave, Herman Cain.
Why has the left launched a stop-at-all-cost political hit on Herman Cain? The answer is quite simple. Herman Cain represents truth. Truth can be devastating such as the great Oz is only a man behind a curtain pulling levers, Soylent Green is people and the greatest enemy of black Americans is the Democratic Party.
Cain was correct in saying black voters have been brainwashed by the democrats. Black overseers have kept blacks obediently and mindlessly monolithically voting democrat for years despite huge elephants in the black community's living room; over 70% black high school dropout rate, over 70% black out of wedlock births and unprecedented black unemployment under Obama.
Black overseers and liberal white democrats do not want to see a character driven black in the Oval office who will not exploit his race to further a socialistic agenda. They do not want a black Commander in Chief whose life confirms the limitless opportunities for success available to all Americans who choose to “go for it”. The last thing in the world the left wants to see is a black president who does not think more government control is the solution to every problem. They also do not want a powerful black voice celebrating America rather than proclaiming America to be the greatest source of evil on the planet. A black leader who loves and stands up for America, individual rights and freedom petrifies the left.
Obama uses his skin color to insulate himself from criticism as he usurps authority like no other president before him. All opposition to Obama's hostile takeovers is branded racist. Obama preaches his gospel of entitlement; everyone is a victim and everyone is entitled to the fruit of someone else's labor. Again, anyone daring to disagree with Obama's sermons are declared heartless and racist.
As president, Herman Cain would be the left's worst nightmare. Cain would be historic, not as the first black president, but as the first black “leader” to occupy the Oval Office. Cain's Justice Department would distribute equal justice to all Americans regardless of skin color; unlike the Obama Justice Department who said they would not press charges against fellow blacks.
President Cain would be a true celebration of all which has made America great; education, hard work, individuality, character, religious faith and freedom. Such wholesome virtues are deemed corny and repulsive to the left who are typically spoiled brat former hippie rich white kids.
And for this reason, black overseers and liberal white democrats must capture, hogtie and drag Cain's black “n----- a--” back to the liberal democrat plantation where he belongs.
And yes, my personal experience bears witness that white liberals freely call us black conservative runaway slaves the “N” word.
